Hello! My name is Alvaro and I am the first volunteer working in this “MLC” project.

My main skills were focused on arts, graphic design and so on, but I love the culture and arts so I think Wrocław is THE CITY! And this project (Multicultural Language Café) is THE PROJECT.

So many of you would already know that Wrocław is gonna be capital of culture in Europe the whole year in 2016, so it will be just amazing, still is one of the most alive cities in Poland and Europe (probably also in the World) such for cultural and artistic events and stuff… and in this project which I am very happy to take part of, I go to different Schools and educative centers to introduce some of the main traditions about Spain, aswell as culture, music and history, and then why not, about sport too (focused on football, because of the Eurocup 2012).

The first day I had to work about this, was in “ISKIERKI”, I was a bit lost, I tried to do my best, somehow I managed to do a good job, with some weak points (depending what age the children or youngsters are…) but I didn’t desperate, improved it and now almost three weeks later I can say I’m so happy and motivated that I really can say I’m quite satisfied.

Later in the next months coming, 5 more volunteers will arrive to “MLC” project, so we will have some training to also give the young people some lessons and games about human rights.

Actually I teach similar and equal values by the meaning of “fair play” football and being honest and keep their feet on the ground when they succeed at any point in life (like Spanish Football Team).

I do work and prepare also videos, powerpoint files and stuff in home, and also take care of the new design of the blog (Do you like it? ;p) and of course the facebook fan page.

So nice to visit schools like these all over Wrocław!! thanks for reading!

Álvaro de Prado Sanz. (Murcia, Spain)
